The Founder's Day is held on 4 January every year to commemorate the birthday of Jagadiswar Chatterjee. The 2014 Founder's Day was held at the School premises. Like every year, this year too school chidren recited poems, sang songs and presented dance performances to celebrate the day.
The School tradition is that the student who ranks first in Class III in the last academic year is made the chairperson of the programme (as well as the Annual Programme - see later). The function is always held early morning.
Annual Sit-and-Draw, Poetry Recitation and Singing Competitions are normally held on the Sunday following 4 January. This year the Sunday fell on 5 January. More than 70 children participated in sit-and-draw competition. About 12-14 children took part in the singing and recitation competitions each. The competition is open to students of all local schools.
